Pointsettia

Looking for a simple Christmas craft for your
kids? These 3-dimensional paper poinsettias can be used on
handmade Christmas cards
or to decorate holiday gift bags.
Ages 6 and up. |
Supplies:
- Red, green and white
construction paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- White colored pencil
- Glue
- Glitter (optional)
Directions:
1. Fold one piece of
red construction paper in half, the long way.
2. Draw 5 teardrop
shapes along the fold, as shown:

Cut these shapes out using the scissors.
4.
Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 with the green paper.
| 5. Glue the
green leaves down onto the white paper in a circle, leaving
a one-inch blank circle in the center. Only glue the inner
part of each leaf, leaving the outer part detached. |

| 6. Glue down
the red leaves on top, as shown. Only glue the inner
part of each leaf, leaving the outer part detached. |

| 7.
Add drops of glue in the center and sprinkle with glitter. |

| 8.
Draw some veins on the green leaves with the white pencil. |
 |

| 9.
You can add some glitter to the red leaves, if you like. |
