Thanksgiving
Leaf Prints

Looking for a quick way to decorate your
Thanksgiving table? Have the kids create some place cards
with a simple
leaf print on it!
If you still have a few leaves on your
trees, this is for you! |
Supplies:
- Fresh leaves
- Tempera paints: orange, red, yellow and green
- Paint brush
- Nice stationery paper: buff or beige colored
- Brown contruction paper
- White colored pencil
- Paper towels
- Can of water
- Waxed paper, aluminum foil or foam plates
- Spoon

1. Lay a leaf on a piece of waxed paper, aluminum foil or a foam
plate.
2. Brush it lightly with various fall colored tempera paints like
red, orange, yellow and a touch of green. Do not put on too much
paint!
3. Wipe your hands clean, then carefully turn the leaf over onto
a piece of beige stationery paper and press all over with the back
of a spoon.
4. Carefully lift the leaf off and allow to dry completely.
5. Trim to size and glue onto a folded card made of brown contruction
paper.
6. Write your guest's name or "Happy Thanksgiving" under it using
the white pencil.
