Studio Art for KidsThis comprehensive course in both 2-D and 3-D mediums will build a foundation for artistic expression. The elements of art (line, shape, value, form, etc.) will be honed using various drawing mediums such as graphite and charcoal. Color theory and principles of design will be taught and employed as students create projects using paint, pastels, clay, and other materials. Beginner and intermediate students are welcome. This course is repeatable with new projects, mediums, and themes each session. Purchase 2 sessions together for a discount.

FREE EventsFREE BIRD DRAWING MINI-CLASSES
at the Batavia Public Library Science & Art Fair Sat., Jan. 30 11 am–2 pm Families are invited to learn and explore at our second annual Science & Art Fair. The open-house format features stations from Kane County Forest Preserve, DuPage Children’s Museum, Fox Valley Wildlife Center, SciTech Museum, and others. New this year: children ages 7–14 can attend a mini art class sponsored by Water Street Studios. Check in at the Youth Services Desk to receive your timed ticket, given on a first-come, first-served basis.
